ISCO Pioneers Industry First with Innovative HDPE Solution for CCR Project
ISCO, in partnership with Fisher Contracting and AECOM, utilized HDPE piping solutions to comply with new EPA regulations for coal ash disposal in a landmark CCR project. Discover how their hands-on fusion expertise, along with McElroy’s large diameter fusion machine, Talon 2000, resulted in an industry first and set a new standard for safe and effective CCR projects.
National Elk Refuge’s Irrigation System: Pipeline Irrigation Using K-Line Method
The National Elk Refuge in Wyoming replaced its old irrigation system with a new pipeline irrigation system using a K-line method that provides a more reliable and efficient way to irrigate. The US Fish & Wildlife Service estimates that even though the new system will irrigate more land, water usage will remain relatively the same as it is more efficient at getting water to its destination. The new irrigation system is designed to be gravity-fed and was installed to reduce the high animal concentrations in the winter, which could spread infectious diseases.
Emergency HDPE Pipe Replacement at University of Chicago
Learn how ISCO and the University of Chicago overcame a pump malfunction and HDPE pipe damage with innovative solutions. The report covers the emergency and long-term replacement plans, including the development of a new limited access machine to butt weld joints in a tight space–a testament to ISCO’s ability to provide comprehensive solutions beyond supplying pipes.
Sliplining with HDPE: A Cost-Effective Solution for Reclaimed Water Delivery in Bell County, Texas
The Bell County Water Control and Improvement District in Texas used sliplining with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe to deliver reclaimed water to the City of Killeen’s Stonetree Golf Course. This field report explores the benefits of using reclaimed water and how HDPE pipe provides a long-term, durable, and cost-effective solution for water transmission infrastructure.
Innovative Pipeline Technology to Upgrade Irrigation Systems in California Farms
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and the McElroy Talon™ 2000 fusion machine upgrade irrigation systems at Baker Farming in California. The article highlights the benefits of using HDPE pipe and the Talon machine for pipelining, including increased durability, corrosion resistance, and reduced water loss. The Talon’s self-propelled, tracked vehicle design and touch-screen interface also made it easier and more efficient for operators to work with large-diameter pipes.
Texas A&M Switches to Polyethylene Pipe for Reliable Water Distribution
Learn how Texas A&M in College Station, Texas solved their high leak rates and service interruptions with polyethylene pipe. With the help of ISCO Industries, the university was able to replace all steel pipe on campus and utilize polyethylene pipe for their new RELLIS Education and Research Campus. Discover how HDPE and PERT pipes provided a leak-free system that won’t corrode in the ground and expanded the operation window for poly pipe.
